Disgrifiad cyffredinol

Cymerir y data hyn o'r setiau data BLYNYDDOL o'r Arolwg o'r Llafurlu a gynhelir gan y Swyddfa Ystadegau Gwladol (ONS), gan ddarparu data cyflogaeth yn ôl math o gyflogaeth, galwedigaeth, rhyw ac awdurdod lleol yng Nghymru.

Casgliad data a dull cyfrifo

Ers 2004, mae'r data blynyddol wedi cael eu cynhyrchu fel data blynyddol treigl, sy'n cael eu diweddaru bob tri mis, ac erbyn hyn cyfeirir at y set ddata fel yr Arolwg Blynyddol o'r Boblogaeth. Mae'r cyfartaleddau blynyddol treigl yn dilyn y calendr ac mae'r cyfartaledd treigl blynyddol cyntaf a ddangosir yma yn ymdrin â'r cyfnod 1 Ionawr 2004 i 31 Rhagfyr 2004, ac wedyn data sy'n ymdrin â'r cyfnod 1 Ebrill 2004 i 31 Mawrth 2005, gyda diweddariadau chwarterol treigl wedi hynny.
Nodwch felly bod y cyfartaleddau blynyddol treigl olynol yn gorgyffwrdd gan naw mis, a bod gorgyffwrdd o ddeufis hefyd rhwng y cyfnod olaf a ddangosir ar hen sail Mawrth i Chwefror, a'r cyfnod cyntaf ar y sail newydd.
Ar gyfer pob blwyddyn, mae'r data'n dangos y niferoedd mewn cyflogaeth yn ôl galwedigaeth, rhyw, awdurdod lleol yng Nghymru (a'r DU yn gyfan), a'r math o gyflogaeth (cyflogai, hunangyflogedig ac ati). Ni chynghorir edrych ar y data wedi'u rhannu'n ôl yr holl ddimensiynau hyn, gan y bydd llawer o'r niferoedd o dan drothwyon cyhoeddi cadarn ac wedi'u celu. Fodd bynnag, dangosir y set ddata gyda'r dimensiynau hyn er mwyn caniatáu i'r defnyddiwr rannu data cyflogaeth mewn nifer o ffyrdd gwahanol heb yr angen i newid ffynonellau e.e. yn ôl awdurdod lleol a rhyw yn unig, yn ôl awdurdod lleol a galwedigaeth yn unig, yn ôl galwedigaeth a rhyw yn unig, yn ôl galwedigaeth a math o gyflogaeth yn unig. I'r perwyl hwn, mae gan bob dimensiwn 'gyfanswm' sy'n caniatáu i'r defnyddiwr 'eithrio' y dimensiwn hwnnw o unrhyw raniad o'r data.
Nomis yw'r porth swyddogol y Swyddfa Ystadegau Gwladol ar gyfer ystadegau'r farchnad lafur. Sylwer y gall rhai amcangyfrifon o Nomis ar gyfer yr APS fod yn ychydig yn wahanol i'r rhai a gyflwynir yma, oherwydd y gwahaniaethau yn y ffordd mae’r daearyddiaethau awdurdodau lleol yn cael eu hadeiladu.

Talgrynnu wedi'u ddefnyddio

Mae'r ffigurau wedi'u talgrynnu i'r cant agosaf ac felly mae'n bosibl y bydd rhai mân anghysondebau ymddangosiadol rhwng swm yr eitemau sy'n rhan ohonynt a'r cyfansymiau fel y'u dangosir. Fel y dywedir uchod, caiff rhai data eu celu gan fod yr amrywioldeb yn yr amcangyfrif yn rhy uchel i ganiatáu i ffigur digon cadarn gael ei gyhoeddi.

Ansawdd ystadegol

Mae ymatebion i’r Arolwg Poblogaeth Blynyddol (APS) yn cael eu pwysoli i ragamcaniadau poblogaeth swyddogol. Roedd y rhagamcaniadau ar gyfer 2020 yn seiliedig ar 2018, ac, felly, roeddent yn seiliedig ar dueddiadau demograffig a oedd yn rhagddyddio’r pandemig COVID-19.
Er mwyn caniatáu ar gyfer gwahanol dueddiadau yn ystod y pandemig, mae'r ymatebion ar gyfer yr APS wedi'u hail-bwysoli ar 9 Medi 2021 i boblogaethau newydd sy'n deillio o gyfraddau twf o Wybodaeth Amser Real (RTI) o Refeniw a Thollau EM (HMRC). Mae'r ail-bwysoli wedi'i gymhwyso o'r flwyddyn data sy’n diweddu Mawrth 2020 ymlaen ac mae'n rhoi amcangyfrifon gwell o'r cyfraddau a'r lefelau.
Dylai'r newidiadau mae'r SYG wedi'u gwneud i'r pwysoli leihau gogwydd yr amcangyfrifon ar lefelau uchel o gyfanrediadau. Efallai y bydd rhai dadansoddiadau llai yn cael eu heffeithio'n negyddol a gellir gweld newidiadau mwy eithafol o ystyried maint llai y sampl sylfaenol ers dechrau'r pandemig.
Gan fod y data'n dod o arolwg, mae'r canlyniadau'n amcangyfrifon wedi'u seilio ar samplau ac felly'n destun graddau gwahanol o amrywioldeb samplu, h.y. mae'r gwir werth ar gyfer unrhyw fesur mewn ystod wahanol o amgylch y gwerth amcangyfrifedig. Mae'r ystod neu amrywioldeb samplu hwn yn cynyddu wrth i'r manylder yn y data gynyddu, er enghraifft mae mwy o amrywioldeb yn nata awdurdodau lleol unigol nag yn y data ar gyfer Cymru.
